Netflix’s original cartoon series Beat Bugs follows a group of five insect buddies as they head out on adventures based on the songs of The Beatles. The series creators invited various artists to contribute covers of the Fab Four’s classic tunes for the soundtrack. We’ve previously heard selections from The Shins, Sia and Eddie Vedder. Today, Republic Records released the first two volumes of the soundtrack, revealing a few more highlights.
Regina Spektor tackled the Revolver cut “And Your Bird Can Sing”, her voice ringing clear and pristine over the lively update.
Elsewhere, Chris Cornell takes his gravely voice on “Drive My Car”. It’s a rollicking rendition that’s supported by the “beep, beep, yeah!” call of the show’s child cast.
