Presented by Atomic Cartoons, October 14 event to feature a 90-minute selection of rare and never-seen animated short films specially selected by the creator of ‘Bambi Meets Godzilla.’
This year’s Vancouver International Film Festival, running September 29 through October 14, will host its second annual animation showcase, Kooks and Legends, curated by Marv Newland.
Presented by Atomic Cartoons, the second annual Kooks and Legends showcase will feature a 90-minute selection of rare and never-seen animated short films specially selected by Newland, founder of Vancouver animation production company International Rocketship, and creator of the famed 1969 short, Bambi Meets Godzilla.
The program will include International and Canadian animation featuring a wide range of techniques and a wider range of creative approaches devised by mainly independent minded animators.
