Saskatchewan’s Julia Voth moving into prime time with new sitcom

I had the fortunate opportunity to be offered an interview with Saskatoon-born Julia Voth this week.

How could I say no to a chance to talk to a supermodel/actress who hails from my home province, and a after a little research finding out we share the same birthday.

You’re right, I had to say yes. It happened Thursday night as I called Julia at her Los Angeles residence.

After almost a half hour on the phone we said our good-byes and I felt very good about what just happened (I hope Julia felt the same way).

It was very easy to tell she was still a Prairie girl at heart – friendly, warm and open.

We chatted a bit about her modelling, her acting career and upcoming poetry book, but we mainly focused on her lead role in the upcoming CityTv sitcom Package Deal.

Julia said she was very excited about the prospects of the new show and especially about it being all Canadian in every way.

I had hoped to have more to put on my blog by now and to have a jump on a story, but after the great conversation we had it’s taking me a little longer to transcribe my interview.

Keep checking back for some excerpts of what Julia and I had to talk about.
