Golden Reel Awards: Oscar Nominees ‘Blade Runner 2049,’ ‘Dunkirk’ Among Sound Editor Winners

The Motion Picture Sound Editors spread the wealth at its 65th MPSE Golden Reel Awards, held Sunday at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles.

In the feature competition, it gave one award apiece to sound editing Oscar nominees Blade Runner 2049 (effects & foley) and Dunkirk (music score). It also gave one award apiece to War for the Planet of the Apes (dialogue and ADR), The Greatest Showman(musical), Coco (animated feature), Loveless (foreign-language) and Jane (feature documentary).

Blade Runner 2049 and Dunkirk are nominated for the Oscar in sound editing, alongside Baby Driver, The Shape of Water and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
