Thunderbird Releasing Acquires Directors Fortnight title Mobile Homes

General

Thunderbird Releasing has acquired Vladimir de Fontenay‘s debut feature, MOBILE HOMES for the UK, following its world premiere at
the Cannes Film Festival. The Canadian-French co-production, starring Imogen Poots, Callum Turner and newcomer Frank Oulton, follows a young mother as she drifts from one motel to the next with her intoxicating boyfriend and her 8- year-old son. The makeshift family scrapes by, living one hustle at a time,
until the discovery of a mobile home community offers the chance of a better life.

The deal was negotiated by Edward Fletcher, Managing Director of Thunderbird Releasing, and Charlotte Mickie, former President of Mongrel International. Fletcher commented that the indie drama was- “A fantastic debut; one of those Cannes moments where initial expectations were blown away by the gripping story- and a totally absorbing and heartfelt performance by Imogen Poots.”

MOBILE HOMES is slated for a UK release in early Spring, 2018.
