Production company Thunderbird has acquired Armoza Formats’ police drama Street Justice for development and local adaptation in the US and Canadian markets. The deal marks the first collaboration between the two companies.
Street Justice has aired three successful seasons on Israel’s Channel 10, all of which increased the channel’s average share in the time slot.
Developed by Artza Productions, Street Justice (60’) blurs the lines between legality and justice in a series packed with non-stop action, explosive stunts, gun fights, gritty crimes, car chases, dangerous romance and more. The series stars a hot-headed police detective who doesn’t have the patience to wait for criminals to make mistakes before taking the law into his own hands. He will clean up the streets, and if he has to cut some corners, he’ll do it without thinking twice.
Joe Broido, Executive Vice President of Thunderbird, “We at Thunderbird are excited to introduce Artza’s multi-leveled police drama to North American audiences. The intertwined personal stories of the characters on both sides of the law make for a riveting and unique entertainment experience. Armoza’s insight and experience in format adaptations has been a key part of this process.”
Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, “Expanding our scripted offering internationally is a key focus for Armoza, and we look forward to working with Thunderbird and bringing this drama to life for the North American market. ‘Street Justice’ has a strong universal appeal, and with its character-based premise of the rule-breaking hero is the perfect crime drama for adaptation in the US and around the world.”
