If you’re a homeowner or buyer who is renovating or buying a Lower Mainland fixer-upper, here’s an option to consider.
HGTV is searching for homeowners or buyers living in or moving to Metro Vancouver to be featured on the second season of their TV series Worst to First.
The series follows professional contractors and friends Mickey Fabbiano and Sebastian Sevallo as they tackle projects to transform unattractive abodes into desirable homes.
Chosen participants will receive professional design services and a renovation within five to six weeks. A minimum design or renovation budget must be $70,000 while the production will contribute up to approximately $40,000 towards labour and materials.
Renovations will take place between August and January. Candidates must be willing and able to be on camera for about five to six days of filming over a five- to six-week period as renovations are underway within that time frame.
Although there isn’t a specific deadline, only 10 applicants will be chosen.
Information about the show is available at the HGTV website and applications can be submitted online. Worst to First is produced by Great Pacific Media, in association with Corus Studios, for HGTV Canada.
