Jennifer Twiner McCarron is new CEO of Thunderbird Entertainment

Thunderbird Entertainment, the Vancouver-based studio behind Blade Runner 2049, has a new chief executive officer.

Jennifer Twiner McCarron has been promoted to CEO of the company, though she will also remain CEO of the Thunderbird subsidiary Atomic Cartoons.

Executive chair Ivan Fecan described her as an “enormously talented leader and the right person to build on this opportunity.”

Twiner McCarron joined Atomic as head of production in 2011 and has helped grow the company from 25 to more than 450 artists, Fecan said.

In 2016, she became president of Atomic when the company was acquired by Thunderbird. Great Pacific Media’s Mark Miller will assume the role of president of Thunderbird, while continuing as CEO of Great Pacific Media.

Thunderbird Entertainment is an entertainment company with offices in Los Angeles, Toronto and London.

Recent projects include Blade Runner 2049 film starring Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, the Canadian comedy Kim’s Convenience, and the animated Netflix original series Beat Bugs.
