Alice Winocour’s (Augustine) thriller Disorder follows Vincent (Matthias Schoenaerts), a French Special Forces soldier, just back from Afghanistan and suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Even so, he is hired as a bodyguard to protect Jessie (Diane Kruger), the wife of a rich businessman, at their luxurious villa “Maryland”. He develops a strange fascination for her, while falling into his own trap of paranoia, unable to distinguish between real and imagined danger and calling into question his suitability for such a high-stakes job that required sound judgement. That is, unless his hunches are grounded and very real indeed.
