Thunderbird is pleased to announce that they have received two nominations for the Canadian Comedy Awards.

Jill Morrison, who plays Nikki on Thunderbird’s original multi-camera comedy Package Deal, has earned a Canadian Comedy Award nomination for Best Female Performance in a TV Series for “Sloppy Seconds”. Created by Andrew Orenstein (Malcolm in the Middle, 3rd Rock From the Sun), City TV’s Package Deal tells the story of three brothers and the woman that comes between them.

Some Assembly Required’s Ellie Harvie also received a nomination for Best Female Performance in a TV Series for her role as Mrs. Bubkes/Candace on the popular YTV hit series. Some Assembly Required is a live-action show created by Dan Signer (A.N.T. Farm, Mr. Young) and Howard Nemetz (Mr. Young, The Suite Life of Zack & Cody), and also stars Young Artist Awards winner Kolton Stewart, and 2015 Canadian Screen Awards nominee, Charlie Storwick. Recently the series launched on Netflix, and is now streaming in all Netflix territories outside of Canada.

Voting for each category began on June 30th and closes on August 15th, and is open to Canadian residents only. Winners will be announced on September 13th at the Bram and Bluma Appel Salon in Toronto.
